Just wondering what happened on this Saturday. We have gone out to the track for many years and have been this year 2 other times. This time the water truck didnt seem to water it down the normal way. We waited for over 45 minutes maybe an hour before they began the main race and by that time the track was horrible. We ended up leaving because the dust was so bad from the track being dry. There were people yelling in the crowd to put water and many others left as well. Is this going to be the normal from now on? I would like to continue going but not if this is how it will be. It was miserable. The dust was in our faces as well as other spectators, we couldnt see the cars, there were alot of spin outs and it was very disappointing.

Hello Gretta,
My name is Skye and I am the Office Manager for both the Asphalt and Dirt.
First, I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience of how the track was prepped that evening. Second, I want to assure you, this is not the "new normal". Hopefully, I can help shed some light on the situation, we had a series of unfortunate events for 2 weeks leading up to this race and we had thought we had the situation under control, and in fact we were wrong resulting in a ill prepped track and a longer night than anticipated. We took this past weekend off, July 15th, to rectify any loose ends we still had when it came to track prep so we could assure enthusiasts like yourself that was a one off weekend and will not happen again! Hope we can count on you to still be a supporter of our facilty? Know we greatly appreciate you, without fans, our sport would fail!
Thank you!
Skye
